True weight - 264
Today was a great day. Well, with one exception. We went to the gym without eating anything this morning and worked as hard, if not harder, than we usually do. OMG! That was not wise. I thought I was going to have to purge the weakness for sure. It took almost an hour , after drinking juice, to calm my body down and stop the shakes. My stomach hurt for another 3 or 4 hours after as well.
Note to self (and all others); eat before you go to the gym!
One week left and still lots of talk about the "what if," "what next," and so on. I imagine this is to be expected.
I don't want this all to be just for me. I hope we can inspire others to change their lives as well. I want to start a blog or a website for people to follow and perhaps to join as well. It would be a great thing to motivate others and to follow their stories as they get control of their lives back also.
This is the blog of a couple who took an amazing journey in self discovery and took control of their lives back from their addiction to food. More than dieting or weight loss, this is about lifestyle and change as well as a mental re-wiring of two people who want nothing more than to be healthy, fit and living life fully.

Day 53 - Trudy
Today was a great day. Today was weigh in day at the gym so we did it a little differently; we skipped the juice, weighed in and then worked out. OMG! Bad idea; cause we worked out so hard with nothing but water in our bodies. Not good, Johnnie almost puked and had the shakes. We will never do that again. Other than that the day went well. I got the new camera in the mail today and packed up the old one and took it back it almost didn't work however. I am happy it did. I was another 5 pounds down when I weighed! Yay. Getting closer.

Day 52 - Trudy
Today was a good day. We didn't go to the gym today, no big deal. We will go tomorrow because we have to weigh and then we'll be down to one week left, yay! We talked a lot more about the hot dog cart. Still trying to make it work. I would love nothing more than to have both of us have our dream. I will have my own daycare and Johnnie will have a hot dog cart that I can work with him on weekends.
60 day juice fast - Day 52 Johnnie
Happy Leap Year! Not sure if this is an official "Happy" thing such as New Year, St. Patty's Day, etc. but we are going to make it happen as of now.
Today was a great day. I feel great and am looking better. I put on my white gym shorts today (cause they are sexy, lmao) and my black gym shirt and for the first time in a long time I didn't look like a distant cousin to Shamu, the killer whale!
Again, we stayed home from the gym today. Both of us have been feeling a little run down and not 100%. So, instead of making it worse we just took a break, forgave ourselves and moved on. The gym will be there tomorrow.
Tomorrow is weight day so we need to be in the gym and getting busy.

Day 51 - Trudy
Today was a good day. We didn't go to the gym we just were not feeling it. I made squash soup tonight. It was great; very garlicy, yum! Today was the licensing hearing for Julie; Johnnie went with and I stayed here so someone could get the daycare kids if the hearing ran too long. Court didn't run long and they got back an hour before the kids needed picked up however; Julie, Susan, Shanna, and Annette went to the licensing office to try to get access to their kids' interview tapes. I then picked up the kids and took them back to Vicky's. The rest of the night was pretty laid back. We watched some TV and read a book. Overall, a great day.

Today was a good day. We spent most of the day just enjoying one another's company. We were not inclined to go to the gym today and so, with no regrets, we stayed home, watched a little TV, read a great deal, which was really nice and of course somehow we ended up staying up late as usual.
The clock really seems to be ticking away now; these last ten days seems as though they will fly bye in comparison to the first ten. I am excited as well as continually nervous about what happens after.

Day 50 - Trudy
Today was a good day. We went to the gym, did cardio and talked to a trainer about eating right and what to eat when we start again. We just hung out the rest of the day while looking up things about food Johnnie found several pages of medical proof that soybeans are in fact, bad for you and cause a lot of terrible diseases, good thing he found out before we start eating again because in the O blood type diet you have lots of soy.
60 Day juice fast - Day 50 Johnnie
Today was great. We went to the gym and met with Scott and Matt. Most of the our time was spent with Scott. He too pushed proteins, which is common for everyone it seems. He did offer us a ton of knowledge, advice, suggestions and more. All in all it was a very information session.
Like usual however, we left with tons of new data to research and learn about. For example, we learned that Soy beans are not the health food we thought, no soy is. It is toxic and can cause serious health issues! We googled it and read dozens of articles. It was shocking. Not sure what the hell we are supposed to do for milk now since our "O" blood type says to avoid milk and to use soy, but now we find that soy can not only harm us but also our future children.
It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end. Tomorrow we will be into the single digits for days left. Soon it will be one week left and then done! Crazy. This creates a bit of anxiety for me. Adding food back in and choices of food etc. is a little intimidating. It is a bit like a recovering drunk going to work in a bar. I hope my relationship with food has changed enough that I can make smart choices and also still enjoy things without over doing it.

Today was a good day. We didn't do much again today but we hung out with Dave and Julie. We went to Home Depot with them to buy wood for Dave's jet ski project. We spent more time tonight talking about the hot dog cart thing which I like; however, I am just nervous about spending our savings.

Today was a good day. We just spent the day doing odds and ends things. We made a trip with Dave and Julie to go to the Home Depot for wood to build Jet Ski stands with so that Dave and I can sand his trailer. He wants to paint it with Rhino Liner.
Had a cigar and drank a little honey and ginger tea. It was all good.
Tomorrow we meet with Scott and Matt at 24 hour fitness. We also start our new schedule of 3 days cardio and 2 days weights.

60 Day juice fast - Day 48 - Johnnie
Today was awesome. I woke up early and let Trud stay in bed sleeping. I was going to go to the garage and have a cigar but instead I was feeling great and loaded with energy so I figured I would get on the treadmill. I put on my headphones and listened to my Ranger cadences. I was on the treadmill for like 45 minutes, half of which, I was running!!!! No shit. I haven't run for like 25 years or something. It was awesome. I actually enjoyed it and felt great after.
We continue to do research on ending our fast and how best to do it. We are also discussing more long turn plans for eating and continuing our success. I suppose we will continue to figure it out as we go. I guess we will be our nest guinea pigs.
We have also discussed finding a way to use our journey to help others achieve their goals and dreams a swell. I would enjoy doing that.

Day 47 - Trudy
Today was a good day. We went to the gym and did some full body. After talking to Matt for a while we decided that it might be best if we do cardio 3x a week and full body 2x a week to maximize weight loss. I made green bean soup tonight which was okay.

Today was a good day. We went to the gym and worked full body. The workout was tough but also seeming somewhat easier. I was able to increase some weights as well as some reps on others.
We also met with Matt today, the guy who signed us up. We explained that with so few days to go we wanted to know how to best use our time in the gym. He suggested 3 days a week of cardio focused work and 2 days a week of muscle work. He also mentioned getting us a meeting with a trainer named Scott because he is knowledgeable and has a great deal of diet and other experiences.
